Pizza Ambulance privacy policy
Effective 17 October 2026. Last updated: 25 October 2026
In short: Pizza Ambulance records how the game is played and how well it runs on your phone, so we can tune the difficulty and fix problems. It never asks for your name, email, contacts, location, photos or an account. It has no ads, and we never sell your data or share it for advertising.
This policy covers the Android game Pizza Ambulance, made by Bryo Studio (“we”, “us”), in every build: test builds shared through Google Play and the public release. The Bryo Studio privacy policy covers this website and what applies to all our apps.

What the game records
The game writes a short record for each delivery, each stretch of riding around, each ride back to the pizzeria and each trip between parts of town. A record contains:
How you played
- Which part of town, which orders and jobs, how many pizza boxes you carried, and the difficulty and control settings you chose.
- How the delivery went: time taken, distance, speed, jumps, crashes, bumps, slices lost and why, how the pizzas arrived, stars and medals earned.
- Where your bike went inside the game’s made-up town: on road or off it, shortcuts taken, and positions on the game map where slices fell or the bike was put back on the road. This is never your real-world location.
- Use of the in-game phone (which pages, for how long), tricks, and the in-game money you earned and spent. All money in the game is pretend: there are no real-money purchases.
- Which animal companion rode with you, if any, and when you changed companion before a ride. How many slices it could catch in that delivery and which of its in-game upgrades you had, how many catches it had left at the end, and each slice it caught or missed: when in the ride, which box, how the slice fell, and why a catch was missed (no catches left, or out of reach).
- Which of the game’s one-off tips and hints were shown to you.
How the game ran
- Frame times (how smoothly the game drew each moment), how much work each frame took, and how long the game was paused or in the background.
- On Android, the phone’s heat level as Android reports it (a level such as “none”, “light” or “moderate”, never a temperature reading), so we can tell when the game makes a phone run hot.
About the phone
- The phone’s model name (for example “Pixel 9a”), the operating system name (“Android”), the game’s screen size in pixels, and the game’s version number.
Ids and times
- The date and time of each record (in UTC).
- A play-session id, which groups the records of one sitting together. It is made from the time the sitting began.
- A random install id, made by the game the first time it runs. It is not your name, account, phone number, advertising id or any id from the phone itself. Reinstalling the game makes a new one.
What the game never collects
- Your name, email address, phone number or any account. The game has no sign-in.
- Contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera or real-world location. The game does not ask for any of these permissions.
- The phone’s advertising id or hardware ids.
The game shows no ads and contains no advertising or third-party analytics code. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
The only special permission the game uses is vibration, for feedback while you ride. You can turn vibration off in the game’s settings.
When it leaves your phone
From version 0.3.0 the game sends these records to us. The first time you open it, it shows a short notice saying so, and it sends nothing until you have seen it. From then on:
- Records are sent in small batches when your phone is online, over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- They go to a small server run by Bryo Studio at
bryostudio.com, which checks them and stores them. - Records an earlier version of the game kept on your phone are sent once, after the notice.
- If you turn off Share play data, the game records nothing and sends nothing. Turning it back on never sends anything from the time it was off.
Like any internet connection, sending a batch reveals your phone’s IP address to our server. We use it only to deliver the batch and protect the server from abuse; we do not store it with your play records.
Who handles it
We use two service providers, who process the data for us and only on our instructions:
- Netlify, which runs our website and the server that receives the records.
- MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB, Inc.), the database the records are stored in.
Their servers may be in a different country from you. Nobody else receives the records. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep play records for up to 24 months after they arrive. After that we delete them, or keep only totals and averages that cannot be traced back to any one install.
It is not linked to you
The records carry a random install id, not your identity. We do not try to find out who an install belongs to, and we do not combine the records with any other data about you.
Your choices
Stopping it
Turn off Share play data in the game: open the in-game phone, then Settings. While it is off, the game records nothing and sends nothing. Uninstalling the game also stops all recording and sending.
Asking us to delete it, or to see it
Write to privacy@bryostudio.com and we will delete the records of your install, or send you a copy. Because we do not know who you are, we need your install id to find them. The game shows it at the foot of its Settings page, in the in-game phone. If you can no longer open the game, tell us your phone model and roughly when you played, and we will do our best. We answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law, such as to object or to complain to your local data protection authority.
What stays on your phone
Your progress (in-game money, what you own and wear, your medals, which parts of town are open) and your settings (controls, difficulty, left-handed layout, sensitivity, vibration, volumes) are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us. The play records waiting to be sent are stored there too. Uninstalling the game removes all of it.
Testing builds
People who test the game before release may get builds that record more detailed play data, to help us tune it. That data is of the same kinds described above (no personal details), is handled the same way, and is kept for the same time. Builds we use for our own testing may also note when testing tools inside the game were used.
Children
Pizza Ambulance is made for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child under 13 has played it and data has been sent to us, write to privacy@bryostudio.com and we will delete it.
Google Play
If you get the game from Google Play, Google handles your download, your Play account and any test sign-up under Google’s own privacy policy. We receive no personal details from Google about you, other than, for testers, the email addresses on the test list that we gave Google ourselves.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts recording something new, or uses data in a new way, we will update this page and its date first. For a significant change we will also say so in the game’s update notes.
